Date 2/8/26
Start Time 2pm
We will cover:
-Painting sculpted fire: how to render a non physical object
-The basics of OSL and glow effect
-Painting super-heated objects
The class will be Sunday February the 8th from 1pm to 4:30pm
We will paint sculpted flames near or on a model with casting light, as well as a powersword using a super-heated effect
This is an all levels class but some painting experiences is recommended. The aim for this class is for you to walk away with an understanding of how to paint sculpted fire on your models and apply that in different lighting scenarios to make a convincing rendering, and how to paint an object (usually metal) that is super-heated.
The-class will be part lecture/discussion/ intentional q&a, a short demo of painting and then you will be practicing painting, with personal feedback where I will go around to help you with the technique one on one.
Attendees will need to bring:
-Brushes
-Paints you're used to using,
-Wet Palette (if you have one, if not we have make-shift palettes)
Will be provided:
-The miniatures for the class
-Lighting for the class (I have a few lights so we have a well lit area, but if you want a personal lamp you're welcome to bring one!)
-Extra wet palettes (if you dont have one)
-Water cups / water
